HIPPI: High Performance Parallel Interface High Performance Parallel Interface (HIPPI) is computer bus to connect devices at short distances with high speeds. It was popular in the late 1980s and into the mid-to-late 1990s, but has since been replaced by ever-faster standard interfaces like SCSI and Fibre Channel.
