IC: Integrated Circuit Integrated Circuit (IC), also known as IC chip or chip, is a small electronic device made out of a semiconductor material. One piece of IC contains hundreds of thousands of previously separate (discrete) components. The “computer on a chip” or "system on a chip" is a special purpose and super large scale integrated circuit.
