Multihomed Multihomed indicates a host connected to two or more networks or having two or more network addresses. For example, a network server may be connected to a serial line and a LAN or to multiple LANs. Multihoming is a technique often used to increase the reliability of the internet connection of an IP network. It is typically used to describe to a customer, rather than an internet service provider (ISP) network.
